Although the great “Choose” chapter  of Deuteronomy 30 was specifically given to Israel, the principals contained therein are eternal, and thus applicable to Christians today. Their relevancy is huge as America approaches the Voting Booth—or “Choose” date — of electing our leaders. And it’s not like we don’t know how...

We cannot choose responsibly or correctly between things we do not know.   

            "The secret things belong to the LORD our God... “ (Deu 29.29)

God does not require us to choose from these "secret things."   

But from "the things revealed", in that same verse (Deu 29.29), God commands us to “CHOOSE” that we may “observe all of the words" revealed to us in our Bible. ("which are written in this book", Deu 30.10)

He has commanded us to

            "obey the LORD, and observe all His commandments" (Deu 30.8-10)

It's from these things "revealed" in our Bible that God has given us clear instructions to choose between right and wrong. He has commanded us to CHOOSE to OBEY His instructions on what is right and what is wrong. But God HAS given us CHOICE !

It is true that Christ has set believers "free from the law." (Rom 8.2; 6.14; Gal 2.21) But we are bound by our love for Christ (John 14.15) to the principals of God's moral law of love, which is expressed from Genesis to Revelation.

            These foundational principals lead to either "blessing" or "curse". (Deu 30)

Based on that, here is a Biblical guideline on HOW TO “CHOOSE” on Voting Day,

▀ MINORITY RIGHTS, HUMAN RIGHTS, and GOD'S RIGHTS ▀

Politicians refer over and over to "human rights", and then narrow it to "minority rights."

            They miss the key element — God's Rights. Does God have rights? The Bible puts God first.

                        Isa 64:8— Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

                        Ro 9:21— “Does not the potter have the right to make [as He pleases]?”

                        Job 33:12 "But I tell you, in this you are not right, for God is greater than man.”

                        Isa 45:9 "Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, ... Does the clay say to the potter, 'What are you making?’ ”

In our decisions on Voting Day, let us be uppermost-mindful that, FIRST and FOREMOST, GOD HAS HIS RIGHTS!

And since God gives all true "human and minority rights", we can trust His Word to reveal those also. But God’s Rights are Foremost— BEFORE human, or minority, or women’s rights!

▀ SANCTITY OF LIFE ▀

This is the highest issue on any ballot — the issue of baby-killing, better known by its sanitized-term— abortion. It is disguised as "Reproductive Choice", another whitewashed substitute for the destruction of human life. This is where presidential picks for Supreme Court Justice could rid America of this bloody curse.

The two top leaders of the United States recently agreed that they "do not believe that we have a right to tell [women that they] can't control their body. It's a decision between them and their doctor."

NOTE: That's 2 people, but what about 2 more— God & the baby? Do they have a voice?

Here's God's voice—

            "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness..." (Gen 1.26)

            "Then the LORD...breathed ... the breath of life; and man became a living being." (Gen 2.7)

NOTE—The life of the baby is in its BLOOD (Gen 9.4; Lev 17.11), which appears in less than 3 wks—DNA on day ‘O’ !

            "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you..."

                                (the above was said to Jeremiah — Jer 1.5; Isaiah-Isa 44.24; John the Baptist-Luke 1.:41; Paul-Gal 1.15)

▀ SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE and FAMILY ▀

Typical Website Retort—"They say we want a war against traditional marriage:  we don’t, that’s a lie.  We want people of all sexual orientations to be able to love freely, no matter who you love."

Jesus—"But from the beginning of creation, God MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE." (Mark 10.6)

Godless-run cities — have a meltdown in anarchy and flames, while police departments are defunded and immobilized.

The Bible—

            "Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are               sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. For this is the will of God, ... (1 Pet 2.13-15)

Perfect Justice?—“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice” (U.S. Constitution Preamble)

1. Has America established “a MORE perfect union" built upon Biblical principals of  justice and fairness? 

2. "Perfect"—No.

3. "More Perfect" — Yes…

▀ SECURE HOMELAND (Borders) ▀

Typical Website Retort—They say we want open borders: we don’t, that’s a lie.  We want asylum seekers to be given their chance to seek asylum.  We want             to help people who are coming from unimaginable terror and poverty help to give them the chances we have. We want to ensure children aren’t             separated from their parents and that nobody is kept in cages.  But we do want proper vetting. (emphasis mine)

NOTE— Who can disagree with the first 4 sentences? But it’s the very last sentence that is the key. Do they not realize that “proper vetting” can't happen without secure borders?

            1. The flood of immigrants America has welcomed for the past two centuries came through Ellis Island.

            2. Ellis Island was surrounded by a "WALL" of water around the island which separated it from mainland America. Immigrant hopefuls left the ship                 and entered through guarded doors and gates to get "proper vetting". Those who passed entered America. Those who didn't were refused entry.

The Bible—

            1. Jesus and Moses were aliens in a foreign country. (Mat 2.13-15;  Acts 7.29)

            2. "Arise and take the Child [Jesus] and His mother, and flee to Egypt,  (Mat 2.13-15)

            3. "... Moses fled, and became an alien in the land of Midian," (Acts 7.29)

God expected justice for a legal alien— 

            1. "Cursed is he who distorts the justice due an alien..." (Deu 27.19)

God expected an alien to assimilate into Israel—

            1. "Assemble ...the alien who is in your town, in order that they may hear and learn and fear the LORD...and be careful to observe all the words of

                this law." (De 31.12)

God built a security wall for Jerusalem—

            1. "So the wall was completed ..for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God." (Neh 6.15-16)

            2. God's "wisest" king, Solomon—“[Solomon] was fortifying his borders to secure his kingdom from invasion.”

The principal of protecting our family by a wall (our house) and a port of entry (front door) can be extended to our nation—

            1. “But if anyone does not provide [security, food, etc.] for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse                 than an unbeliever." ( 1Tim 5.8)

▀ ISRAEL and "SETTLEMENTS” ▀

Is Israel misappropriating "their" land from the Arabs? Let's consider again God's Rights!

            1. Jesus called the End-Time name of that land "Israel" (Mat 10.23).

            2. "God said Israel is "My land" (Eze 37.16), and the Jew's land. (Eze 37.12-14)

            3. God says He will "SETTLE" them in the land of Israel. How do you settle a people without "settlements"?

                        "When the LORD will have compassion on Jacob, and again choose Israel, and settle them in their own land." (Isaiah 14:1

                        They will come trembling like birds from Egypt, And like doves from the land of Assyria; And I will settle them in their houses, declares the                         LORD. (Hos 11:11)

Back to God's commandment to 'CHOOSE"—

            "And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse." (Gen 12:3 )
