The great river Euphrates is prominent throughout the Bible, beginning in the book of Genesis with creation. This prominence continues in prophecy, right into the last chapters of the book of Revelation. When it comes to prophecy, there is indeed a Euphrates connection!
Babylon is being rebuilt on its original site by Iraq. The prophets Isaiah (Is 13) and Jeremiah (Je 50-51) , and the apostle John (Re 18) each declared that Babylon would rise again, reemerging even beyond its former glory. It will be a great city, the hub of planetary commerce and religion, the capital of the world, and the center of the Antichrist. We would therefore expect it to be a prime habitat of Satan-and indeed it is! The Bible specifically designates it at the end time as “a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit” (Re 18.2). This demon infested metropolis will be located on its original site of old—the Euphrates River!
Near the end of the Great Tribulation, at the sounding of the 6th Trumpet Plague, 200 million demonic spirits are released to kill 1/3 of mankind (Re 9.13-21). We know they are demon angels because their leaders are four fallen angels. The description further confirms they are creatures from the demonic dimension (see The Assyrian Connection, by Phillip Goodman, p. 189; Prescott Press, 1993). From where does the assault of this demonic hoard originate? …”The great river Euphrates!” (Re 9.14)
When the Antichrist and his False Prophet deceive all the nations into converging on Israel to blot out the Jews, the call to arms is actually spread across the planet with the assistance of demonic messengers (Re 16.12-16). They seduce the nations through a generous dose of lying signs and wonders gathering them to the Holy Land. The focus of this satanic activity?…”The great [but providentially dried] river, the Euphrates.”
The Euphrates river is located in the land of the ancient sister empires, Assyria and Babylon. It is from here that the Bible projects the rise of the Antichrist at the end of history. Through a compelling array of evidence, we see the land of what is modern day Syria/Iraq as that part of the neo-Roman empire which gives birth to the Antichrist (see The Assyrian Connection, cited above). The ‘Euphrates Connection’ so prominent in the Bible lends great weight to this evidence.
The staying power of the Euphrates Connection will, in fact, persist right up to a certain ‘hour and day and month and year” of the end time (Re 9.15). But then there is another “day and hour no one knows”—a day when the Lord will come “in His glory, and all the angels with Him, [to] sit on His glorious throne.” (Ma 24.42; 25.31) That will be the end of the “Euphrates Connection!”

Revelation 9:13-21 the Sixth Trumpet Plague, #1-6 below
1. The 6th Trumpet Judgment releases 4 bound demons at the Euphrates River in Iraq.
2. The event occurs in the Tribulation, just prior to the Return of Christ in Trump 7.
3. God permits the 4 demons to arouse evil men to kill 1/3 of unsaved, wicked men.
4. This is accomplished by armies totaling 200 million human soldiers.
5. These armies are possessed and energized by an equal number of Invisible Demons.

11. The Kings of the East are joined by the Kings of the Earth to seek Israel's destruction.

12. Thus, 4 Invisible Demon Angels and 3 Invisible Demon Angels, at the beck-and-command of Satan, gather Antichrist's armies to Armageddon to destroy God's Chosen People —and ALL believers in Jesus Christ.

The meteoric rise of the "kings of the east"—CHINA. (Rev 9:14-19; 16:12)
It is important to see that the "kings of the east" prophecies have more detail than simply that title. We read,
1. "Kings" is plural. (Rev 16:12) China is perhaps the leader, but there are other "kings" (nations) of the east, such as India, Pakistan, Indonesia, North Korea, etc.
2. Their pathway to their destructive mission against Israel is divinely prepared by spiritual and physical events at the River Euphrates. (Rev 9:14-15; 16:12)
3. Armies numbering two hundred million soldiers point to countries whose composite-population, to support that number, must be in the billions. The total population of just the 5 countries named above is 3.5 billion. More than one-half of the world's population lives east of the Euphrates River, all the way to China and the far east.
4. The 200-million soldiers of the China-led armies are demon possessed. (Rev 9:15-17; 16:13)
5. This military giant of the East has both the fire-power (nuclear) and the far-reach (missiles, IBMs) to kill one-third of mankind (worldwide). (Rev 9:18-19)
Like all of the Satanic-Antichrist armies of the End Time, they are headed into the snare of God's Wrath at Armageddon.

The Lord has opened the eyes of some to actually see the spiritual reality behind the physically obvious,
When the Arameans surrounded Israel with their army encampment, the prophet Elisha asked the Lord to open the eyes of his terrified servant so he could see the spiritual reality (right) behind the physical appearance (left) that so scared him.
Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:17)
What we see in the world is only the visible part of events. The spiritual part is MORE REAL!

And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. Wickedness may "parade as an angle of light", but at its core it is wickedly-UGLY ! Thee Frogs ? When God peels back the curtain so we can see the spiritually-real behind the physically-obvious, it is either Gloriously-BEAUTIFUL (from God below), or wickedly-UGLY (from Satan, further below).

What we learn from this is that what we see on the left is with our physical eyesight, in the headlines and on the news. But by our faith in God and His Word, we can see on the right the actual reality only through our "spiritual-eyesight." What God has revealed in Bible prophecy about the Kings of the East describes an army possessed by 200-million INVISIBLE demons, wicked and ugly. Yet their is comfort and assurance, because reigning
over the 200-million man demonic army —also INVISIBLE —is the Hand of God, in absolute control of the Kings of the East, and ALL events.

"Timing Evidence for Trump 6 and Bowl 6 Linkage"
1. Trump 6 can be placed very close to the end of the Great
Tribulation. Jesus said if the Tribulation were not divinely terminated,
all life would be extinguished (Mat. 24:21,22). Since the scope of the
end-time judgments proceeds from one-fourth to one-third to all, then the next step, after one-third of mankind is killed in Trump 6, would be the termination of all life. Jesus said this would not occur, because He would return and "cut short" the Tribulation. (1/4, Rev 6.8; 1/3 Rev 9.15; All, Mat 24.22)
2. Jesus does this by the Bowl Judgments which strike rapidly.
The Bowl judgments serve as the Lord’s intervening wrath to break
the grip of Satan and his Antichrist when the Tribulation is cut short.
3. Therefore, Trump 6 must occur very near the end of the Great Tribulation. It is the fulfillment of Christ’s warning of the near extinction of human life during that time. This connects Trump 6 and Bowl 6 close enough together 'in-time' to be describing consecutive phases of the same event — the foray of the Kings of the East.
Evidence for the Invisible DEMONIC Angels empowering the Kings of the East.
1. Near the end of the Tribulation, at the sounding of the
sixth Trumpet Plague, two hundred million demonic spirits are re-
leased to kill one-third of mankind (Rev. 9:13-21).
2. We know they are demon angels because their leaders are four fallen angels who have been bound for millennial centuries awaiting this very moment. Also, for every rider there is a “horse.” Whether this is taken to mean a literal horse or a modern armored vehicle makes little difference. To assemble two hundred million horses (or vehicles) “would be one of the great miracles of all time. (Shank, Robert. Until the Coming of Messiah and His Kingdom. Springfield, Missouri: Westcott Publishers, 1982, p. 251) They must be creatures from another dimension!
3. The description of the “horsemen” is as unearthly as the descrip-
tion of those that come from the bottomless pit (the Abyss) in
Trumpet 5, who also have a fallen angel as their leader (9:1-11).
These in Trump 6 kill human beings, something angels may some-
times be permitted to do for both good and evil intent (Exo. 12:23; 2 Sam.; 24:16; 1 Chr. 21:15.;. Job 2:6; 1 Cor. 10:10: Heb. 11:28, the “destroyer”).
4. They kill with the effect of fire, smoke, and brimstone. This was the
same effect which was evident in the supernatural destruction of
Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen. 19:24-28). The same phenomena are also
apparent in the latter-day destruction of the Russian coalition (Gog,
Eze. 38:33), which is also a direct supernatural event. Thus, it is not
surprising that the demonic spirits of Trump 6 can annihilate one-
third of mankind. From where does the assault of this demonic
hoard originate? The great river Euphrates” (Rev. 9:14)!
5. Furthermore, when the Assyrian and his False Prophet deceive all
the nations into converging on Israel to blot out the Jews and the persistent voice of their God, which, by then resounds through that
elect nation, the call to arms is actually spread across the planet with
the assistance of demonic messengers (Rev. 16:12-16). They fan the
resultant flames of global rage with a generous dose of lying signs
and wonders. The probable center of this satanic activity? “The
great [but now providentially dried] river, the Euphrates.”
We are compelled to admit a Euphrates connection!
6. And with Babylon on the Euphrates River, we are compelled to admit a "dawn-of-history" DEMONIC Connection, for we read,
"...Babylon the great! ...she has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird."

The Bible says he will come down to the world with "great wrath" (Rev 12.12) where he will spread the malignancy of his demonic emissaries upon the earth during the Great Tribulation.

BELOW: The Trump Judgments span the last half of the 7-year Tribulation (which is called by out Lord, "the Great Tribulation", 3.5 years). The Bowl Judgments are God's final outpouring of wrath upon a wicked world. The virtually "fall" out of the sky in a vertical time-frame.
