6 PROOFS: Israel "Secure",

Magog Next!

Arab Enemies

(Zechariah 2:5)

Is Israel Secure Today?

"Israel is not dwelling securely; In the summer of 2006, they had over 4000 rockets fired upon Haifa and other northern locations out of Lebanon from the Hezbollah. Additionally, the Hamas are still a constant threat from the Gaza area. Then of course there were the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973...   No it does not appear as though Israel is presently a nation at peace in the Middle East"

Bill Salus, Prophecy Depot Website, accessed on Sep. 1, 2014.

BELOW: Israel seemingly trapped, the tiny nation surrounded by traditional and historic enemies on the north, east and south, bounded against the Mediterranean Sea on the west. From man's viewpoint, Israel is totally UN-secure. But is human perspective, or circumstances on the ground, the true gauge of the question "Is Israel Secure Today"?

under Attack?

"4000 rockets fired upon Haifa" (see quote above)

"constant threat from the Gaza area" (see quote above)

at War?

"wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973" (see quote above)

not at Peace?

"not ... a nation at peace" (see quote above)

 Is Israel Secure from DEFEAT?

Below: There are two kinds of Security--Human-based and God-based. Human-based Security is "earthly", taking man's perspective of events and circumstances (threats, attacks, oppression, terrorism, etc.) as the measure of "security." God-based Security brings God into the equation, affirming God's promises and God's providence as the true  and only gauge of the question "Is Israel Secure Today"?

by Egypt

Exodus 14

Psalm 78:53

Was Israel Secure Then?

[ The Pharaoh ] chased after the sons of Israel …

[ with ] his horsemen and his army...

and [ Israel ] became very frightened…

But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear.” Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord…”   Exodus 14:8-14

BELOW: The passage above shows that Israel was trapped (against the Red Sea), terrorized and in the shadow of imminent attack by the Egyptian forces. From the human perspective they were without security--doomed! But Moses encouraged the people because he saw God-based Security transcendant to any threats or danger the Egyptians could mount against Israel.

The Israelites were…

And He led them SAFELY [ “betach”], so that they did not fear;

But the sea engulfed their enemies.

Psalms 78:53

The Israelites were…

They were SECURE (“betach”)

the Pharoah's army trapped them at the Red Sea.

The same Hebrew word for "secure" (“betach”) used of the Red Sea miracle in Psalms 78:53 is also the "secure" describing Israel at the time of the Magog attack in Ezekiel 38:8.

by Magog

Ezekiel 38-39

Will Israel Be Secure Then? the latter years you will come into ... the mountains of Israel …you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you…

Ezekiel 38:8-9

According to Ezekiel 38-39 Israel will be trapped by an invading coalition of Muslim nations led by Russia (Magog) at the End Time. The Russian-Islamic forces will be overwhelming. Israel will appear to be doomed. But...

The Israelites will be…

...[But] they [Israel] are living SECURELY [ “betach”],

Ezekiel 38:8

The Israelites will be…

You [Magog] shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops…

Ezekiel 39:4

They are SECURE (“betach”)

the invasion of the Russian-Islamic forces, just as Israel was when they were trapped at the Red Sea by the Egyptians.

What we learn from both the Egyptian Red Sea Attack and the Magog Attack is that the things seen by Man as evidence of Israel’s UN-SECURITY,

are actually, in God-based Security, evidence of Israel’s SECURITY.

Is Israel trapped, threatened, terrorized, attacked?...

With God’s Security-Hand over Israel, these scary episodes actually magnify and glorify God’s safe-keeping of Israel, and in reality are proof that Israel IS Secure.

--Egypt at Red Sea, Magog at End Time--

NOT from threats, terror, attacks…

Israel is SECURE (“betach”) from DEFEAT!

Ezekiel 38:8—

Is Israel Secure TODAY?

OF THE ‘38.8 LIST’

5 Miracle Events of God

Israel returns to its ancient homeland in waves ("alyahs") throughout the 20th century after being scattered among the nations for 1900 years. Every Bible believer recognizes the return of the Jews to the Land of Israel as one of the greatest miracles of fulfilled prophecy. Ezekiel 38:8 is one of those prophecies.

God’s Miracle Wars

How can we say Israel

Every Bible prophecy teacher extols God’s Direct Hand in giving Israel Victory in the 4 Miracle-Wars of 1948, ‘54, ‘67 & ‘73.

In every war since 1948 multi-national armies have threatened Israel…

but Israel was Secure from Defeat.

They have terrorized Israel…

but Israel was Secure from Defeat.

They have attacked Israel…

but Israel was Secure from Defeat.

Listen to DR. DAVID REAGAN on Israel's Miracle Wars...

“On May 14, 1948, the Jewish state was proclaimed, and the Arabs launched an all-out war to destroy it. And war it has been ever since...

The Arab goal will never be achieved. The Bible says that once the Jews are re-established in the land, they will never be rooted up again (Amos 9:15).

... God promises that He will intervene and make the Arab lands a desolation

(Ezekiel 35:15).”  David Reagan, God’s Plan For The Ages, Lamb & Lion Ministries ,2005 p.317

BELOW: Israel has been threatened by enemies since becoming a State in 1948, and has been attacked numerous times by multiple nations and coordinated overwhelming forces. Israel has never been defeated in these miraculous wars, emerging victorious in circumstances defying any normal explanation.

Listen to ZOLA LEVITT on Israel's Miracle Wars...

“The Arab’s drive to push the Jewish population into the sea has never succeeded--and it will not because God remains faithful to his promises to protect his chosen people

...He will defend and preserve the remnant of Israel...”

Zola Levitt (with Lawrence Ford), Israel At Ground Zero in Prophecy At Ground Zero, William T. James, ed., Starburst Publishers, 2002, p. 31, 40.

Listen to MAL COUCH on Israel's Miracle Wars...

“Against impossible odds, and following 5 wars of aggression against it, the nation survived. One has to call these wars, “miracle wars.” God spared His own!... Throughout it all, Israel survived and even prospered.

How can this not be the hand of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?”

Mal Couch, Revelation Hoofbeats, Ron J. Bigalke, ed., Xulon Press, 2003, “Controversy Over Prophetic Fulfillment” p. 324.

Listen to ANDY WOODS on Israel's Miracle Wars...

"Israel has miraculously survived an overwhelming attack against all odds from a coalition of nations during her War of Independence in 1967 during Israel's Six-Day 1973 during the Yom Kippur 1990 during the Gulf War."

Andy Woods, The Middle East Meltdown--The Coming Islamic Invasion Of Israel, Dispensational Publishing House, Taos, NM, 2016, p.87.

JOHN PHILLIPS--RESULT OF 1948, ‘56, ‘67, ‘73 etc. WARS

“Thus Israel, reborn, has defended its national interests with courage and vigor. It is back in the land to stay.” John Phillips, Exploring The Future, Thomas Nelson, 1983, p. 275.

“Israel has survived relentless terroristic attacks, bombings, and wars, yet she stands today as a testimony to God’s unrelenting grace.”

Charlie Bing, Grace Notes Number 71, Grace Life Ministries, March, 2016.

[Refers to] “The miraculous war of 1967...”

“One thing is clear—the last few decades of Israel’s history [the War of 1973] have been miraculous...”

John F. Walvoord, John E. Walvoord, Armageddon, Oil & the Middle East Crisis, Zondervan, 1974, p. 30, 35.

“The preservation of the Jewish people is a fulfillment of prophecy and is one of the greatest miracles of history...The rebirth of the Jewish state took place on May 14, 1948, and the birth pains began the next day when 5 Arab states attacked the new nation, determined to annihilate it. And the birth pains have continued to this day with war after war. Another prophecy fulfilled during all these wars is the preservation of the Jewish state. The book of Zechariah prophesied that… the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem.”

David Reagan, Living On Borrowed Time, Lamb & Lion Ministries, McKinney, TX, 2013, p.132-133.

TIM LaHAYE & ED HINDSON on Israel's Miracle Wars

“In 1973 several Arab enemies launched a surprise attack on Israel...once again God delivered Israel from an Arab coalition that wanted to drive the Jews into the sea...The media had predicted the battles would be fatal to Israel because the small nation was so outmatched... it didn’t look like there was any chance of survival. But what at first appeared to be the certain annihilation of Israel turned into supernatural preservation...there is indeed a God in heaven who is watching out for Israel.

Israel’s very existence today, given the fact the nation is surrounded by hostile enemies, can only be attributed to the protective hand of God in fulfillment of His promise in Genesis 12:1-3. Israel has been supernaturally preserved multiple times when attacked by large, well-equipped armies. Yet after more than 60 years, they still occupy their land in troubled times, just as the prophets predicted… [In the 1948 war of independence] Israel miraculously was able to defeat its Arab neighbors.”

& After

Ezekiel 38:8, 18; 39:4-7

The text says Israel is “living securely” BEFORE the Russian-Islamic Invasion.

They are ALREADY in security.

What kind of security is it?

1. Russia gathers multi-national forces as a threatening “cloud” to the north,

but we know in advance (38:3) that Israel is Secure from Defeat.

2. International terror arises(38:13),

but Israel is Secure from Defeat.

3. The multi-national attack comes like a “cloud covering the land (38:9),”

but Israel is Secure from Defeat.

The Point—

the “BETACH-SECURITY” of 38:8 exists

the invasion, and is defined by the passage itself

BELOW: Israel's Security today is proven by the Miracle Wars. The same Security will apply to Israel's future Miracle War of "Magog".

To Russia:

“Do you know that Israel is under

Ezekiel 38:14-15

“…on that day, … thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan,”

Ezekiel 38:10

"On that day when My people Israel are living securely, will you not know it?

Ezekiel 38:14

The obvious answer is “NO.”

Russia will not “know” that Israel is living “Secure.”

Because it is GOD-BASED SECURITY, & Russia does not believe in God.

If Russia did believe Israel was SECURE, they wouldn’t attack them in the first place! Ezekiel 38:15

1. God will summon Magog to invade Israel when Israel is…

2. restored from the sword,

3. to the Mountains of Israel,

4. out of many nations,

5. and living SECURELY.

WHAT’S LEFT? Number 1 Above.

The Russian-Islamic Invasion of Israel is an Imminent Event.

Therefore, the RUSSIAN ISLAMIC INVASION OF ISRAEL awaits no further signs except for the invading nations to take their place on the                      prophetic stage.

Today the Russian-Iranian military presence in Syria is a huge step in that direction.

We can't say that today's scene is THE scene for the fulfillment of Ezekiel's prophecy of the Gog-Magog invasion of Israel…

but when those events do occur, they will look very similar to the events of today.
"Rest (shaqat)" HERE

The "days of Noah" is a double reference" prophecy in Matthew 24:37-39. That is because of the "day or hour" imminency clause attached to it in v.36, 44. An imminent event is an "any-moment" event--it can happen at any time, suddenly  and unexpected. That can only apply to the Rapture. But the "days of Noah" in Matthew 24 is also a Second Coming reference because contextually Christ is coming "like lightning" (v.27).

The imminent language is not used in Luke 17. The double-reference in Matthew's "days of Noah" has reference to both the Rapture and the Christ's Return to the Earth. Luke 17 has reference only to the Second Coming. Double reference prophecy, well attested in prophetic Scripture already, compresses the Rapture and Return phases of Christ’s Second Coming into a single prophecy in Matthew 24, without reference to the fact that the  Rapture and Return have separate fulfillments at least 7 years apart. The compression of the two events into a single prophecy makes them appear to be a single event.

The Old Testament prophets saw the “coming of Christ” to be a single event because the predictions of Christ’s coming in a manger and coming as a King were compressed “double-reference” prophecies.

The"days of Noah" prophecy of Matthew 24 fits the same mold, a Rapture and a Return appearing as one prophecy while separated in actual fulfillment.

"Few laws are more important to observe in the interpretation of prophetic Scriptures than the law of double reference. Two events, widely separated as to the time of their fulfillment, may be brought together into the scope of one prophecy."

Dwight Pentecost, Things To Come, p.46.

#2 There was a particular "day" that "buying and selling" was not just interrupted, but STOPPED "on the [very] same day that Noah entered the Ark [and] that Lot went out" of Sodom and Gomorrah." This single-"day" is compared to the single-"day that [Jesus] is revealed." This happens at His Second Coming to the earth, NOT at the Rapture. Why? Since the Antichrist permits the majority of the world [unbelievers] who take his number [666] to "buy and sell" [Rev. 13:17] during the Tribulation, then "buying and selling" is NOT STOPPED with the Rapture. But in Luke 17 "buying and selling", etc., STOPS at Christ's Second Coming (not the Rapture) because we know from the Biblical history of these two events that the "buying and selling", etc., STOPPED on the day Noah entered the Ark and it STOPPED on the day when Lot went out from Sodom and Gomorrah. In both instances, the "buyers and sellers" were destroyed suddenly, totally and absolutely (Sodom and Gomorrah reduced "to ashes", 2 Pet. 2:6). Therefore, "on the day that Christ is revealed" in Luke 17 must refer, NOT to the Rapture, but rather to the Second Coming of Christ to the earth.

#3 When Does Jesus Return "like lightning"?
1. In Luke 17:24, the glorious appearance of the Second Coming of Christ “just as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky [and] shines to the other part of the sky” is a clear reference to His coming at the end of the Great Tribulation as seen by the same phrase in Matthew 24:27-30.
2. That same appearance of lightning-like glory will happen on THE DAY that the Son of Man is revealed.” (Luke 17:31)
3. It is compared to THE DAY that Lot fled Sodom (v. 28-29)--a day of brimstone, fire and smoke, which EVERY EYE in the whole land could see (Gen. 19:24-28).
4. Therefore, on the day of the Second Coming of Christ, at the end of the Great Tribulation, somewhere, someplace, there will be everyday eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting and building activities happening on the earth when Christ comes like "lightning, when "every eye will see Him" (Rev. 1:7).

#4 Luke 17 CONTRADICTS the Rapture event
Any attempt to insert the Rapture into Luke 17:24-37 CONTRADICTS the passage at verses 30-32, where we read this:
"It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed. "On that day, let not the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house go down to take them away; and likewise let not the one who is in the field turn back. "Remember Lot's wife. (Luke 17:30-32)
On "the day that the Son of Man is revealed" Believers are warned not to turn back to get their goods out of the house. There is a time-consuming decision and a time-consuming act involved in this warning. However, the Rapture permits no such time consuming thoughts or acts, for it occurs "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye." (1 Cor. 15:52) Therefore, "the day that the Son of Man is revealed" is not the Rapture, but rather the Second Coming.

#5 The Judgment of Luke 17 happens at the Second Coming of Jesus to the earth

The Judgment described in Luke 17:26-30 compares the two judgments on the people of Noah's day and Lot's day with the judgment that will occur when "the Son of Man is revealed." Both of those early judgments "destroyed them all" (Gen. 7:21-23; 19:24-28; Luke 17:27, 29) suddenly and completely. This does not occur to the Tribulation-generation left behind after the Rapture. They are judged over a period of 7 years. The Judgment at the End of the Tribulation at the Second Coming, however, can be compared to the Luke 17 judgment of Lot's Sodom and Gomorrah (v.29, "fire [Greek "pur"] and brimstone"), because Christ "shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire [Greek "pur"]." (2 Thessalonians 1:7)

#6 "Life-as-usual" in catastrophes

We can see a picture of this in a smaller micro-setting when everyday life carried on in Asia after the 2004 Indonesia tsunami (documented as “one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history”), or when day to day life continued after the 2011 Japan earthquake-tsunami, or when Superstorm Sandy hit about 33% of the continental United States. Some sense of normal life continued in each location, including 66% of the U.S. Also, when half-a-million Syrians were killed in the Syrian Civil War (as of 2016), "eating and drinking, buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage, planting and building" continued in Damascus and other Syrian cities.

#7 "did not repent of the works of their hands"

A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues [the 6th Trumpet Judgment]... And the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts." Rev. 9:18-21

The "works of their hands" are the "eating, drinking, buying, selling, and all of the life-as-usual activities we read about going on in Babylon (Rev. 18) at the edge of history as Christ is set to Return in Judgment

"Repent" means to change one's mind and turn away from or toward something. In a Biblical context it often means to turn our mind away from sin and the world and toward God and heaven. Notice above that at the same time "a third of mankind was killed" that "the rest of mankind...did not repent." That means they did not change and turn toward God, but rather kept on worshiping the "works of their hands"--planting, building, eating, drinking, buying, selling. They worshiped the fruit and profit of their material production--which then became their idols (sorcery and immorality). The committed thefts and murders to keep it. Obsessed and drunk with "wealth" (Rev. 18:17) they fastened their focus on Babylon despite the sudden deaths of several BILLION people (v.18).

The next steps come very quickly. "Works of the hands" are valued to the exclusion of God. "Works of the hands" then become one's focus of "worship." Next comes thefts, sorcery, immorality and even murder in the pursuit of the "wealth" obtained by the "Works of the hands." All the while the true object of the worship is the demons and dark spirits behind the gross materialism (verse 20).

When these people chase wealth and worldly glitter, they ignore the reality around them. But could anyone ignore waking up to the breaking news that 1/3 of mankind died overnight? Disgustingly--YES. Jesus put it in perspective: "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead." (Luke 16:31)

Now--we can see how "life-as-usual" could happen in some places during the "great tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall."

1. The Trumpet Judgments target 33% of the earth.
2. The Bowl Judgments target 100% of the earth. With the spoiling of 100% of both vegetation and water on the earth, “no life would have been saved”, as Jesus said in Matthew 24:22.
3. While the Trumps “plague” the earth; The Bowls “kill” the earth. Without pure water, there is no life.
4. The Trumps span the Great Tribulation in a 3.5 year horizontal timeline— still, life goes on. But the Bowls, triggered by the 7th Trump, commence an assault on the earth in a rapid-fire vertical timeline (the Day of the Lord) with plagues so severe that life is only saved by the Return of Jesus.
5. During the Trumps, 66% of the earth, though heavily impacted and deeply troubled by the catastrophes which have affected 33% of the earth, will still carry on everyday life to some degree.
6. The key to understanding this, as we have seen, is Revelation 9:18-21.

"A third of mankind was killed ... And the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands..."

#8 LIFE AS USUAL “on the day”that Jesus Returns

Luke 17:28-30
●eating, drinking

       ●buying, selling

       ●planting, building
        ●marrying, giving in marriage

       Revelation 18

●financing (v. 11-16; requires a working international banking system)

●producing (v. 11-16; requires a viable capital, management & labor system)

●profit making (v. 17; “great” wealth requires “great profit”, and assumes a global marketplace)

●international commerce (v. 19; “ships at sea” require cargo & crews, fuel & maintenance, ports, etc.)

●entertainment industry (v. 22; assumes leisure time, events production & celebration venues, etc.)

●business & industry (v. 22; requires training, systems management, production & distribution, etc.)

●food processing (v. 22; requires millage & processing plants, refrigerated transport, etc.)

●power & utilities (v. 23; requires energy sources, generating plants & infrastructure)

●family life, love & marriage (v. 23; assumes a sense of confidence about the future)

●merchant stores (v. 11, 15, 23: requires a system of goods & services production, advertising & retail, etc)

#9 Luke 17 and "the day"

Both Luke 17 and Revelation 18 stress judgment occurs on a single, normal 24 hour day. Luke 17 compares "the day" that both Noah and Lot took refuge to "the day" that Christ Returns (v.27, 29 & 30). The accounts of Noah and Lot in Genesis confirm that each took refuge on a particular 24 hour day (Gen. 7:4, 13; 19:15, 23, 27).

More Indications of Functional Life at the End of the Tribulation Period

Revelation 11:7-10--The Global Celebration  (CLICK HERE)

●viewing TV/Internet (v. 9; requires a global communications network)

●celebrating worldwide in unison (v. 10; requires instantaneous communication)

●sending gifts/international shipping (v. 10; requires an intact global postal network)

Revelation 16:16--Armageddon

●An international coalition of “all the nations of the earth” gathered against Jerusalem in the Valley of Armageddon (Zec. 12:3; 14:2; Rev. 16:16; 19:19)— requires the massive transport of troops, machines & supplies, logistics & support, food, water, munitions, communication, coordination, etc. over vast areas of continents and oceans, in a VERY short window of time.

The truth of this is made abundantly clear in the story of the plagues of Egypt during the Exodus. Very similar plagues to those of the Trumpet Judgments of Revelation did not compel the hard-hearted Egyptians to belief in God, and they were able to send a fully functioning army of chariots and horsemen after the Israelites. In the midst of plagues of blood-water to hailstone bombardment, they watered and fed both the troops and the horses and chased the Hebrews all the way to the Red Sea. There, the Egyptians met their doom. The same will be the case when the Antichrist raises up his international army and brings them on a planetary rendezvous to Armageddon--and doom.
